Hello, I’m Dr. Antony Moonjelly, a passionate psychiatrist who specialises in offering support to young people and families, particularly those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. My journey in medicine began at the prestigious All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), a tertiary level centre of excellence in India, where I completed my basic medical training. This foundation propelled me to pursue a Masters in Medicine (Psychiatry) at the University of Sydney.

My curiosity and dedication to understanding the human mind led me to engage in research, working at esteemed institutions such as the behavioural neurosciences research centre at Purdue University in the USA, and the Brain and Mind Research Institute in Sydney.

I am a proud Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, having completed my psychiatry training within the Northern Sydney Hospital network. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to contribute to various hospitals, including Royal North Shore Hospital, Hornsby Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, Cumberland Hospital, and Blacktown Hospital. I hold a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and currently serve as a staff specialist psychiatrist at Royal North Shore and Hornsby Hospital in the public sector.

At the core of my practice is the belief that human connections are fundamental to our well-being. I prioritise understanding the complete narrative of each individual before integrating the tools of modern medicine. My approach includes providing comprehensive mental health assessments and crafting individualised treatment plans to ensure the best outcomes for my patients.

My goal is to foster a supportive and understanding environment, helping my patients navigate their mental health journeys towards healing and growth.
