My practice focuses on a person centred, recovery oriented approach with biological, psychological and social considerations. I believe in the importance of talking therapy and developing connections with each of my clients to allow for a tailored approach of care. Most recently, I am completing advanced training in Psychotherapies with RANZCP.

I graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Prior to this I worked in the financial sector in various countries such as China and Singapore so I have special awareness of transcultural issues. I completed a degree in Finance and Mathematics at University of New South Wales. I have trained and worked across a variety of public and non-government organisations in hospital and community settings, across south western and central Sydney.

What is psychodynamic psychotherapy

Psychotherapy refers to a range of techniques in which talking therapy is the central format. I have a special interest in Psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is an in-depth, long term form of therapy that utilises the relationship between the client and the therapist to draw out the client’s unconscious thinking patterns. It has the aim to assist with life difficulties and to achieve long lasting personal growth. Psychodynamic psychotherapy involves meeting at a regular time at least on a weekly basis. I also have training in cognitive approaches such as CBT.
