Dr Felicia Ng
Psychiatrist | MBBS, FRANZCP
(Multilingual – English, Teochew, Malay, Cantonese & Hokkien)
“My model of psychological support revolves around the merits of solution-focused therapy and the relationship between the voluntary pursuit of goals and neuropsychology. I provide therapy informed by psychodynamic theory and allow patients to interpret their subconscious motivations, drives, emotions and feelings. I find they understand themselves better as a result.”
About Dr Felicia Ng
I am a psychiatrist with experience supporting adults (18 years and over) through a wide range of mental health challenges.
I completed my medical degree at the University of Melbourne and am a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
Alongside my medical training, I completed additional studies in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, allowing me to integrate psychological understanding with medical care in long-term, psychoanalytically informed therapy.
Advanced Training
My work draws on psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches, recognising that every person brings their own story, strengths, and capacity for healing.
I also provide telehealth psychiatry services to residential aged care facilities and Aboriginal health services, ensuring access to quality care across communities.
Experience
I assisted children, adolescents, and families with complicated welfare requirements. I use a variety of psychological skills to provide cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and acceptance-and-commitment therapies (ACT). The services I provide include but are not limited to the following services.
